May The Geek Be With You
Here’s a good ol’ list of things around the innerwebz that have lately totally made me smile my geeky, goofy grin.
Digsby: www.digsby.com
The good: This one little program manages all my dorktastic social media apps in one spot. My two AIM accounts, my two gmail accounts, Twitter and Facebook are all in one spot. It downloaded little icons into my tray so that I can see when I have a new message without having to log in and out of each account. I’m really hooked.
The bad: Only available on PC. I get to use it at work, but at home I’m back to toggling back and forth between email accounts, using iChat, Tweetdeck and the actual Facebook site. If you’re not careful during install you might wind up with a couple extra applications on your PC so watch those check boxes carefully during set-up. I opt out of everything!
Live Well Spend Well: www.livewellspendwell.com
The good: This new blog/review site is the newest baby of a few fantastic bloggers that I know and love. Find out how to look great and feel great without spending a fortune. Each post is well written and honest. I promise you’ll find something you like over there. They have giveaways too! Follow them on Twitter: @livespend.
The bad: I was asked to participate as a contributor and I turned the offer down. This might’ve been my dumbest decision to date.
Family Guy Videos on YouTube:
I don’t watch the show. I don’t really get it. Most of the jokes are over my dim-witted head and the whole talking baby thing throws me. Also, talking dogs creep me right the fuck out. However, here’s two clips I’ve seen shared recently that have made me giggle like a five-year old which is what I THINK is the point of that show.
Circle The Cat.
Do not click unless you have a million hours of your life to waste away. This is the answer to the question: What are you doing that you’re too busy to ___________?
The official BlogHer09 Site: www.blogher.com.
Don’t get me wrong. This will not calm your nerves in any way, shape or form. In fact, this site WILL induce panic, BUT it is nice to know you’re not the only one who’s completely freaking out. And for those of you NOT going, please participate in this. It’s got next-best-thing (with a lot less anxiety) written all over it.
Go forth and Geek.

We will keep pushing to make Digsby even better. Thanks again. You should add a Digsby widget to the sidebar of your blog so you can chat with your visitors – http://widget.digsby.com

Thanks for the mention of BlogHer@Home. We’re really hoping to be able to put on some fun stuff for those people who can’t make BlogHer this year.
Hope you have a great time partying at BlogHer, though!
