Water Bottle Woe Resolved!

Filed under: I Breathe Therefore I Shop — Posted by Pocklock at 7:20 pm on Monday, June 30, 2008

I have water bottle issues. Most of them surround me being so incredibly lazy.

Facts of the Lazy:

1. I refuse to continue to get up and fill my cup every time it’s empty. I need more volume than your average cup can provide.

2. I hate cleaning them by hand.

3. I spill. Frequently. My water bottle must contain a sippy type top. Yes. I’m apparently a toddler when it comes to drinking without spilling.

Other Facts:

1. Now we’re all going to die because of BPA so, there’s um, that.

2. I’m super conscious about getting enough water since I learned the hard way about being dehydrated and pregnant.

3. My water bottle needs to fit in my cup holder in my car otherwise there’s a good chance that when I need a drink, it will have rolled off and under the seat due to the constant slamming of the brakes during my hideous commute.

The Solution:

Presenting the BPA Free CamelBak Better Bottle.

I bought it yesterday at Sports Authority paying a ridiculous amount in retail mark-up, but I. Am. In. Love. My favorite feature is the bite cap feature where you have to practically be a physicist to figure out how to extract the water, but once you do, it’s TEH AWESOME for those with oral fixation spilling issues such as myself. The little handle thingy is quite cool as well as it only requires one finger to carry it and since I am a person who tends to schlep a lot of things on a daily basis, I find this feature to be convenient.

And the best part? Top shelf dishwasher safe. ‘Nuff said.

CamlBak’s website explains the product, but I’ve found that the best price out there for this model (careful if you do your own Google search – there is a version that is not BPA Free) can be found here at Joe’s Sports.

If you’re in the market for a new water bottle, trust me on this one. You will NOT be disappointed.

What seemingly simple product do you use on a daily basis that you could not live without?

OOooh so pretty! I’ve got a SIGG and I love it. The only thing that blows is that it doesn’t fit in my stroller cup holder. But I just shove it in the bottom storage basket and am all good. No major trauma.

For everyday use I’d have to say that (for me) and our bottle warmer (for Theo). LOVE!

You should just get the camel bak, 2 quart back pack. Oh wait, I forgot how much you have to pee. You should ask the baby to please not tap dance on your bladder.
