I can't stand Kathie Lee. She ranks right up there with Martha Stewart as far as I'm concerned and that's not a good thing. I agree that they could have done a better job of interviewing Dooce. I mean come on the didn't even show her in the little clip before. What's up with that? Moving on to Meredith. I am convinced I'm weird because I LOVE her on Millionaire whenever I catch it on but HATE her on the Today show. She just doesn't mesh good with that crew. I also liked her when she was on The View on the three instances in which I could stomach watching it. Is that weird? In case you didn’t know, I found your blog through DadGoneMad. I've posted a complete list of everyone who left their blog link on his Big Big Stars post in a post of my own called Blog Rolling With My Homies over on my blog, so if you want to see it come on over and sit a spell. I don't bite..…that hard anyway! I used to love the Today show and I would watch it every morning while getting ready, but Katie's exit was about the time I had Gwen, so I haven't had to see Meredith at all. Thank goodness. I too am an NBC girl and I get ready every morning with Today in the background. I don't HATE Meredith, but I don't think she was the best choice to replace Katie. (I voted for Campbell Brown, although I like Natalie, too.) I think Mer's a little awkward, but so am I. I just don't get paid millions to be awkward in front of millions of people. It does tick me off that she only appears on Today for 2 hours. Not that she needs to be there longer, but come on. 2 hours?!?! However, I have loved Kathie Lee for a long time. This wasn't the best interview, but I also don't think that their hour is meant to be news but rather chatty and celeb-centric like "Regis." Had Heather's interview occurred as planned, I'm sure she could have had more of an opportunity to delve deeper into mommyblogging. They Hoda and KL just weren't the right people for this interview. PS-Matt Lauer and Brian Williams are amazing.
