Bling Award & MeMe’s*
The fabulous Kat over at My Two Cents has awarded me! I’ve won a Wonderul Woman of the Web Award! I feel it’s unfair to keep this award to myself so I’m going to pass it on to a few of my fantastic woman bloggy friends. I feel like if it weren’t for you guys, my core group of readers, supporters, and friends, I would’ve given this gig up a long time ago. Instead I feel connected and like we share this common bond. A bond close enough that I can ask for your help about anything! And I do!

I pass this award to the following fabulous woman of whom I am a big fan:
Steph. Let’s face it. Never would I have thought to start blogging had it not been for you. This is just another thing of the many things in our lives that you’ve encouraged and supported me through. I sincerely thank you for that.
Lil Foot’s Mommy. You’re my rock. In every way. And I still feel awful that you hate WordPress.
Cass. I SO did not need any more friends at work!
But I’m so glad I caved because I can’t imagine going through my days without our witty IM conversations not to mention that this pregnancy would only be 40000 times harder if I couldn’t commiserate with you about painful boobs and round-ligament pain.
Rhonda at Aardvark. Though we’ve never met, the fact that you take the time to send me emails with links to books I need to have means SO much! (I’m so easy to please!)
Samantha Jo Campen at Back To Me. THANK YOU so much for taking the time to personally address my freak-outness about epidurals. Your candidness is awesome and honesty appreciated!
Cassafrass and Imperfection Embraced. I know you’re in a bit of a rough patch, but know that your comments and emails always cheer me up. I hope to return the favor. And I LOVE your pictures! Chin up. It will get better.
JP at PomJob. You are awesome. And you were my first commenter that I didn’t know in real life that wasn’t reciprocating reading my blog because I read theirs! (Wait – did that make sense?) Anyway, I love that we bonded over Rascal Flatts and cows! (And I hope this makes you smile after a shitty weekend).
Oh, and Kat? Right back atcha, Babe!

Slackermama‘s a thief. She even said so herself in this post. And I’m gonna go right ahead and steal back from her!
Instructions:
A. Upon receiving this tag, immediately perform a screen capture of your desktop. It is best that no icons be deleted before the screen capture so as to add to the element of fun. You can do a screen capture by:
[1] Go to your desktop and press the Print Scrn key (located on the right side of the F12 key on most keyboards).
[2] Open a graphics program (like Picture Manager, Paint, or Photoshop) and do a Paste (CTRL + V).
[3] If you wish, you can “edit” the image, before saving it. (IMO that takes away from the integrity of the meme… I want to see the desktop as is).
B. Post the picture in your blog. You can also give a short explanation on the look of your desktop just below it if you feel like doing it. Tell us why you decided to choose this picture.
C. Tag your friends and ask them to give you a Free View of their desktop as well.
Here’s mine! I took this photo of Lil Foot this weekend while her Daddy and Uncle (my EHH) ran a 5K in a neighboring city. Original can be found here. I made it my desktop because my husband, the awesome photographer he is, actually paid me, the just-point-and-shoot-girl, a compliment and said that he thinks it might be the best photo I’ve ever taken. He knows what it’s like to try to catch Lil Foot standing still long enough to snap a photo. He also knows that getting her to look at the camera is another feat in and of its own. Well, I managed to do both and snap it at the right time. Oh and something about framing and texture and other big photographer words (lalala-ing).
And you know. It helps that she’s SO DAMN CUTE!
Enjoy.
Oh, and as far as the tagging thing – if you have nothing else to blog about and would like to show the world your desktop, consider yourself tagged.

The Liar MeMe – Tagged by Anne
I SUCK at lying. And I hate it when people lie, but I’m going to do this one anyway. Maybe I’ll get better at it with a little practice.
So the key is here to write, in random order, five truths and one lie. You fine folk are to decide which one is a lie. Reply in the comments section and I’ll eventually let you know if you guessed right. What’s in it for you? How about the satisfaction in knowing you figured me out. The knowledge that you can’t be stumped. I’d give something away like Anne and Nancy are, but I still owe Mandalyn a gift card for her caption on one of my Capshun Contests from like, forever ago. Clearly I suck at give-aways.
Here goes:
1. I had my bellybutton pierced for three months and when I took out my belly ring because it was poking through the dress I was wearing for a wedding, the hole closed up and I couldn’t get the thing back in.
2. I once fainted in the mall due to pain from severe menstrual cramps.
3. I was a season ticket holder for the New York Knicks for two seasons.
4. My wedding ring was stolen on our honeymoon. The one I wear now is a replacement; not the one my husband put on my finger on our wedding day.
5. I’ve never been to Chicago.
6. I can’t feel when someone’s touching my right knee because of the nerve endings that were severed when I had my surgery in 1995.
Go ahead. Let the guessing begin. And if you’ve never done this one before, consider yourself tagged. Go on and have an excuse to practice your lying.
* And the blog entry with the most. Links. EVER.

Cute photo!!! What a dollbaby!
Ok, I am going to make an attempt at a guess. This is very hard since I don’t know you all that well, but I am going to guess #2.

Awwww..thanks! And I suppose I’m not “hating” WordPress so much anymore, it’s been working better for me since I figured out the whole use Firefox to write and entry instead of Safari so that I can get line breaks thing. What I really need to do is just get my own domain name and drop the whole .wordpress.com thing. Some day!
And wow…my kid is your desktop…she’ll live up the limelight now while she has the chance, because after August, I know who will be your desktop forever after then…but hey maybe someday Blinkie and LF will co-host yours and my desktop with an unbelievably cute shot we take of them!!! I can not wait for Blinkie…CAN. NOT. WAIT.
