Important Questions For The Innernetz
Question 1:
On toilets at the place of work, do you sit or squat? I think the majority of people in my office squat because I have never seen more pee on seats anywhere else. So what do you do? (To my two male readers, what’s your favorite color?)
Question 2:
What’s the worst show on television that you can’t stop watching? A guilty pleasure if you will so admit to one.
Question 3:
Thunderstorms. Love or Hate?
Question 4:
What’s your favorite type of weather? Are you a summer person, but only if it stays below 90 and there’s no humidity? Are you the kind of person that likes to walk outside in January, take a breath, and have your booger’s freeze?
Question 5:
Do you identify with inanimate objects and develop a strange love for them? Plants, cars, blankets, etc?

1. Sit. Especially the more pregnant I got because seriously, at 30 weeks good luck balancing.
2. We don’t have TV channels or cable so I’m out.
3. HATE. Terrified actually. Thank goodness we don’t live on the 10th floor anymore. Bullseye!

1. Depends on what I see on the seat when I enter the stall. I remember a blog post from years ago that talked about this. The writer was a firm believer in claiming your work toilet seat because life is too short to squat so many times a day.
2. Hmmm… ANTM? I only have network channels, no cable, so my options are limited.
3. Love! As long as I’m inside, cuddled up.
4. I’m a Fall girl. I love the mid-50s to 60s, gentle breeze and the beautiful autumn leaves. Bonus points for the no-humidity days.
5. I love my television. I’m sure there’s something else, but I’m blanking.

2. A show that shows the stupidest people emigrate. They leave for another country without preparation, enough money or the local language, then complain when things are different from Germany. Upsets me but I get a kick out of watching it.

1. I squat unless the toilet seat is up meaning I’m the first to use it since the cleaning company sanitized – then I sit.
2. The Hills – it’s so fantastically awful and young.
3. LOVE them – this just happened in 2003 though – before that when the thunder came in the basement I went. I was scarred by a tornado experience in 4th grade.
4. Spring and Fall. Summer is just too sticky for me but I love the smells and the temperature and the light in the Spring and the Fall the best.
5. Yes. I love my pillows right now – the idea that something could happen to them is just very scary. I also name cars – we have Rita the Rogue and Senior the Saab. I also view the blackberry as an appendage.

Work potty? ~ While i was pregnant I squatted, the entire time, now? I either take a ginormous wad of toilet paper and do a clean sweep of the seat and then sit, or I squat.
Bad addictive tv? ~ TMZ…oh the shame for just admitting that.
Thunderstorm? ~ YAY..LOVE (as long as I’m in no danger!)
Fave weather? ~ Sunny, with big puffy clouds in the mid 70′s
Inanimate object affection? ~ Bot! my baby blanket!

1. I’m a sitter. My arse is huge and it takes too much energy to hover.
2. I have no shame, so I can’t say there’s anything that I’m guilty about watching. I am a horrible reality tv addict, though. Tonight, WifeSwap, SuperNanny, and Top Chef will rule my channels.
3. LOVE – when I’m stuck at home. HATE – when I’ve got to go somewhere while toting a 16+ lb baby in a 10+ carrier.
4. I’m an autumn person. I like transitional seasons, but Spring brings about the stinky trees and associated allergies to said trees.
5. I do this to every inanimate object. I couldn’t figure out why until my husband mentioned “The Brave Little Toaster” the other day, and I realized that that movie (perhaps coupled with Rudolph’s Island of Misfit Toys) has made me hesitant to ever throw ANYTHING away.

1. Squat. Hello, you know where I work. Not even up for debate.
2. American Idol; I know, it’s sad.
3. Love Thunderstorms. Particulary the one last night because it was so unexpected.
4. Early Fall. I love waking up in the mornings when it is cold out – knowing by noon time it’ll be clear and nice and warm – without humidity.
5. You’ve seen my pantry. I am additicted to canned goods. I use one, I immediatly have to replace it.

1. Sit. But, I’ve never worked anywhere that more than 3 or 4 people shared a bathroom. So, whatev.
2. Biggest Loser.
3. LOVE THUNDERSTORMS! Lovelovelove.
4. My ideal climate would range from 60 – 95 as the highs and lows. There’d be rain about 10 – 15% of the time, but otherwise sunny. Humidity is ok, to a point, but not over the top, you know? Humidity DOES encourage my hair to curl, so I like that. But not the gross cut-it-with-a-knife humidity. NO THANK YOU.
5. Yes. My sewing machine has basically been the love of my life since I bought it. Also, my old bed was my favorite possession EVER. Leaving it in TX broke my heart.

1. Sit. There are very few ladies at either of my offices.
2. October Road. (side note to Sarah: there is NO guilt associated with Top Chef!! Is there??)
3. Love. Until the big winds come and start knocking the eighty foot tall pines down around my house.
4. I love a good blizzard. But summer is good for the whole feeling that comes with it…swimming in the lake, nights by the fire, drinks at my friend’s pool. Good stuff.
5. I’m crushing on the t.v. but think I could be seduced by a new laptop.

1. Depends on which work place we are talking about. The smaller ones, sit. The bigger ones with bathrooms open to the clients as well I tended to not sit.
2. I love the Real World. I don’t tend to watch often but if I see a marathon of the newest season on a Saturday or Sunday? Just write me off for the next 4 hours. I’m sucked in.
3. Love if I am at home and don’t have to go anywhere.
4. Love spring/fall weather. Sunny days, blue skies, mid 70′s, no humidity.
5. My husband made fun of me because I was so sad to leave my old car when we got the new one. I name my cars and get attached. He rolls his eyes at me often.
