Blog Surfing
I’ve read a couple posts of written by people that have been Blog Surfing. I figured it was time to give it a try myself. I’m always looking for new stuff to read.
“Here’s how it’ll work.
1) Go to your most recent post with comments and choose one of your commenters. Go to their blog.
2) Leave them a comment
3) While on their blog, check out their blog-roll (aka… links of blog friends they have in their sidebar).
4) Pick someone on their blog-roll that you don’t know and visit their blog- leaving them a comment, of course!
5) Follow steps 3 and 4 again, until you’ve visited 4 new blogs. “
I honestly believe that commenting is the key to driving site traffic. That said, here we go!
From Aardvark’s comment on my Lenten Promise post, I clicked on And Baby Makes 4 on her blog roll. Melanie is 24 weeks pregnant with her second and has quite a few photos of her 19 month old daughter Gwen on her site. She’s a cutie. I love the shot of her licking the (egg free!) batter off the mixers.
From Melanie’s blog roll I clicked on What’s Cooking and found a site full of recipes! Since I basically suck at cooking real food, I’m going to try this dessert recipe they have posted for Monkey Bread. YuuuUUUmmm.
The contributors of What’s Cooking all have their own bios in the left sidebar. I clicked on House of Howard and was really touched by what I saw. Her husband is an Active Service member and she has two kids under the age of 4. They’re super cute. Her photos are great. The latest post I read says that her husband will be receiving orders soon which will most likely mean they’ll need to move. Her blog will definitely become the best way to keep her friends and family up to date on the kids. I call this definitely one of blogging’s perks! Unfortunately, Leanne didn’t have a blog roll so I hit a dead end.
I went back to Aardvark and for my final pick for this surf, I clicked on Tammy Talks Alot. I absolutely loved this post where she wrote messages, life lessons really, to her children. I will definitely do this for my kids. I should probably start now even though Blinkie’s only the size of a lime (thank you, BabyCenter!). I have a lot to say! Tammy’s a great writer and I will definitely visit her blog again for more!
So this was fun! If you have a blog, give it a try! If not, well I just gave you 4 more sites to add to your Reader’s and one of them has a bunch of recipes! Start cooking and send me leftovers.

I am so excited that I am bringing the internet together…one blog at a time!

Yay to blog surfing. Neat idea…Which reminds me of a stupid joke (the idea – not the surfing)
What do you call a dear with no eyes? No i-dea. Get it?
Anyway, sorry for the stupid joke, gotta go and do some blogsurfing.

So I was going to leave a poignant and relevant comment here, until I saw what was obviously a pregnancy belly shot on your Flickr stream. And can I just say that you have such gorgeous abs at 9w1d?! Seriously! My post pregnancy belly wept at the sight of it.
