Writers Block
You may have heard that members of the Writers Guild of America have gone on strike and are demanding a greater share of profits from DVD and Internet sales. OK. It makes sense. I think everyone should be entitled to fair compensation for their efforts. I have no gripe with their cause. What I DO object to is their chants.
I was watching Inside Access Entertainment Tonight with Mark McGrath (what the hell happened to that guy’s career by the way? Wasn’t he a rockstar not long ago?) and they had footage of the picket line outside the Desperate Housewives studio where the writers were walking around with their signs chanting “We write the story-a for Eva Longoria! We write the story-a for Eva Longoria!”
WTF? Really?? You get paid to write for a living and that shitty chant is the best you could do? You should be ashamed of yourselves. I’ve heard more creative chants from the drunks in the Yankee stadium bleachers. I remember one game when they started berating the other fans in box seats saying “You paid thirty, we paid six! We are cool and you are dicks!” Sure, it was crude but at least it was creative.
Anyway, I hope the writers get their deal straightened out soon because I needs my Friday Night Lights.

Good post! And Yankees fans are WAY more creative then tv writers. I think its the $8 beers.
